A Mother’s Prayer

Oh Lord, I give you all the praise and all the glory for blessing me with the gift of life; for allowing me such a privilege to care for such a precious gift.

I pray that you teach me to love my children as you continue to love me, without end, regardless of my mistakes or how many times I’ve disobeyed or may fall.  Your love corrects, protects, encourages, nurtures, directs, and forgives me daily.

I pray that you will teach me how to walk upright in front of them that they may see you in my life and in our home.

I pray that you will grant me the wisdom to teach them the things that they need to know;  about you Lord, that they will learn at a young age how to call on your name, give you praise, seek your guidance.

I pray oh Lord that the sins of my generation and the generations before me, are bound by your holy spirit and your grace and mercy will block those sins and generational curses (heredities) from manifesting in their lives.

I pray now, that you place a hedge of protection over my children.  I pray that you will keep them in your care, from all manner of danger.  I pray that you will bless them with the intelligence and understanding needed to live in this world, but not of this world.  I pray that you will guide my children in the path of righteousness, prosperity, wholeness with you, peace, love, and happiness.  I pray that you will give them the courage needed to succeed, the love and compassion required to see not only their needs but also the needs of those around them.

I pray that you will find favor with them and bless them in their going out and their coming in.  God, bless the work of their hands, bless the work of their minds, bless the words of their mouth, fill them with your anointing and your glory, and enlarge the territories that are in their present and future.

Keep them strong, healthy, encouraged, at peace.  Let them not be easily deceived, but have a mind and heart for you, oh Lord.
